Spring

Spring is near,
You can smell it in the air,
The scent of the barbecues bring fear,
Saying no to cooking on it you wouldn't dare,
To take one bit makes it all worth while.

Spring is near,
You can see it everywhere,
The gardeners are scurrying to get their beds prepared,
To plant the seeds that will grow beyond compare,
And give the results that provides such pride.

Spring is near,
You can feel it in the air,
The rain drops fall and surround you like a bear,
But for your garden it will care,
And will make it look like a work of art.

Spring is here,
As the sun warms the hearts,
Of every living thing and person dear,
And it's when new life starts,
Through the flowers, through the rain,
and even through the pain.
